Introduction

These EU e-learning units aim at adding to the classical teaching methods as they will combine specific theoretical approaches and categories of political sciences on new constitutional, institutional and procedural aspects of the EU-system.

Each unit combines special knowledge on the EU and new research topics in the area with online learning methods, so that students will learn to analyse the EU-system and single aspects of it applying special theoretical approaches of political sciences, using scientific categories and exploiting the offers of European institution´s homepages and internet resources.

The units comprise of links to major relevant websites, an online-glossary, download options as well as graphical elements.

 

Technical advices:

The units are not interlinked. Thus, each unit can be acceded exclusively from this homepage.

Within each unit their is a table of content in the left hand frame. Each chapter can either be acceded via clicking on the corresponding title or by clicking on the arrow at the bottom of the frame (the arrows lead to the preceding and following chapter).

Links to other chapters of the unit are made visible by green print.

Blue printed terms - such as articles of the treaties - will be displayed in the upper right hand frame, if they are chosen, whereas italic terms in blue print will be explained in the glossary in the lower right hand frame.

Graphs and tables will open in a new frame and at the bottom of each page relevant and interesting links will lead directly to pdf-documents or websites.
