D4. Accreditation and Evaluation Systems in Political Science
Chair: Jadwiga Koralewicz ( Collegium Civitas, Warsaw)
One of the results of the 1999 Bologna Declaration was a discussion about the promotion of European cooperation in quality assurance as a solution to the challenges of internationalization and the framework of the Bologna Process. This solution may be pan-European or more limited and possibly regionally defined, as is shown by Nordic and Dutch-Flemish cooperation in this field. The Bologna Process also works toward establishing a common framework or reference for quality assurance. This panel aims at examining what is going on in political science with regard to accreditation and quality assurance. The panel especially welcomes papers that draw upon experiences, critiques and good practices with regard to quality and excellence within the discipline.
